Parents/Guardians, due to the weather, cross country practice is cancelled for today. Students will go home their regular way at our regular dismissal time.

Parents/Guardians, just a reminder of our Grandparents Day Parades tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 10)! The Kindergarten parade will be at 9 AM, 1st grade parade at 10 AM, and 2nd grade parade at 11 AM! Here is a map of the parade route: https://5il.co/yodo

Parents/Guardians, please be reminded that fast food deliveries/lunches for students are not permitted. They may bring a lunch from home, or they may eat in the cafeteria. Thanks!

Parents/Guardians, today is the deadline to sign your child up for Cross Country! If you would like for your child to participate, please submit the forms and $25 fee to the office today.

Also, $1 Friday jeans days for students will begin this Friday, Aug. 27. If your child would like to wear jeans this Friday, please send a dollar with them to school on Friday morning. :-)

Parents/Guardians, just a reminder that car riders should be dropped off in our car line from 6:50-7:25 AM. After 7:25, you must park in our parking lot and sign the students in. Also, cross country packets and fees are due Friday! If your child wants to participate, please send these papers and fees in by Friday. Please let your child’s teacher know if you need another packet. Practice will begin next Tuesday, Aug. 31. Finally, our Open House will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 5:30 PM. We will be having an outdoor come-and-go Open House. Kona Ice will also be there! We are off to a great start! Thanks for your continued support and help! Dr. Nugent, Principal

Parents/Guardians, we have given out most of our shirt orders and yearbooks. If your child went to third grade at Cypress Springs, they will receive their yearbooks there next week. If your child has not received his/her shirt order, please contact our office on Monday so that we can make sure that the order gets home to you. Thanks so much!

All parents and community members, please join us for Chalk the Walk at Glen View Elementary! Chalk the Walk is when we write encouraging messages on the sidewalks of the school to our students and teachers as they start a new year at The View! We will have two Chalk the Walk events: The first will be held all day on Wednesday, August 18. We will honor our first and second grade students on this day! The second will be held all day on Sunday, August 22. We will honor our new Kindergarten students on this day! Chalk will be provided at our main entrance and at the gym entrance. *We respectfully ask that ONLY encouraging messages are written. Thank you for making this a joyful, positive time for our students and teachers. 🙂

Happy Friday, Gator Family! Just a reminder that Spring pictures will be taken next Wednesday, April 14. If you choose to purchase pictures, your child will be allowed to wear “regular” clothes that day to school. They can also change into a school uniform after taking pictures if you’d prefer. If you are not purchasing pictures, then your child should wear a school uniform that day. All money for spring pictures MUST be sent in by Tuesday. No money will be accepted on Wednesday. Virtual students, you may also take pictures on this day. Please call the school if you have any questions, and please contact your child’s teacher if you need another order form. Dear Gator Family, Recently we have had a few problems with morning and afternoon car line. To keep our students as safe as possible, we are going to make a couple of changes with car line procedures. A VERY important note is being sent home with your child today that outlines these changes. I will also text out this note and the car line map just in case the note gets lost on the way home. :-) We appreciate your assistance in following our car line policies so that our students are safe as they arrive/leave our campus.
