How do I change my life insurance beneficiary?

Call or email the Insurance Department to request a Beneficiary Form be mailed.  The original Beneficiary Form must be returned.

Since I have life insurance on myself, can I add life insurance on my new spouse or newborn?

You can add supplemental life insurance on your dependents by calling Clinton Insurance at 318-254-8044.

I am an active employee and have life insurance through the school board. Can I apply for more?

Because you are wanting to apply for more life insurance you will be required to fill out an Evidence of Insurability form that will ask health related questions. Coverage can be approved or declined by the life insurance company based on this information.

I have life insurance through the school board but should I have personal life insurance, too?

Yes, you want to have life insurance in place that doesn't depend upon you working.

What happens to my life insurance once I retire?

If you have our life insurance as an active employee you have the option to keep MetLife life insurance upon retirement for a monthly fee.
