Not 1! Not 2! But 3 National Merit Semifinalists from Ruston High School!
Each year, approximately 1.5 million students take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and enter the competition for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Based on their scores, 50,000 out of the 1.5 million students qualify for program recognition. Of that 50,000 only 16,000 are named National Merit Semifinalists.
We are proud to recognize three Ruston High students for being named National Merit Semifinalists: Chaz Backhaus, Jodi Dunbar, and Thomas Rogers!
